Source of earning :
1. Merchandise -
Franchises sell the official jerseys and it gives them lot of amount. They also take money from companies which make replica of their jerseys.
2. Prize Money -
Prize Money is one the main source of income for a franchise, the prize money is around 20 Crores. 20 Crores is not big deal for them, but when they won a title then they increase the charges or the fees of Sponsors. Their charges of sponsorship boot up after winning a title.
3. Media Rights -
In 2017, Star Sports broke its treasury and bought Media Rights of the IPL in massive amount. Star Sports Payed around 16000 Crore Rupees for media rights. Although this deal happened between BCCI and Star Sports but according to sources BCCI pay 35 Crore Rupees to every IPL franchise per year.
4. Gate Revenue -
The Revenue/Money generated from stadium by selling tickets and some other thing is directly goes to franchises. Each team has its own Home ground and when they Host a match in its home ground they earn lots of money.
5. Sponsorship -
Sponsorship is the most important sources of income. Franchises make lots of money from Sponsorship. Teams tie up with some brands to promote them in return of money. The Promotions are done in 2 ways - Print media and Advertorials.

1. Mumbai Indians - [₹ 809 Crores] Valuation of Mumbai Indian is most because they won 4 IPL Titles and due to it they charges more for sponsorship.
2. Chennai Super Kings - [ ₹ 732 Crores ] Chennai Super Kings won 3 IPL titles.
3. Kolkata Knight Riders - [ ₹ 629 Crores ] Kolkata Knight Riders won 2 IPL titles.
4. Royal Challengers Banglore - [ ₹ 595 Crores ] Royal Challengers Banglore won no titles but their fan following is huge.
5. Sunrisers Hyderabad - [ ₹ 483 Crores ] Sunrisers Hyderabad won 1 IPL titles when the had old name "Deccan Chargers".
6. Delhi Capital - [ ₹ 347 Crores ] Delhi Capital never won a IPL title.
7. Kings XI Punjab - [ ₹ 358 Crores ] Kings XI Punjab never won a IPL title.
